BIO

Gail Carson's love of music began in elementary school, playing violin in various school orchestras up through college. She learned guitar and began writing songs at age 13.

In 1992  to 1995 she was the founder and leader of the Key of G , a recognized trio of musicians who performed Gail's songs on Cable television, and the surrounding Metropolitan Detroit area. The Contemporary Christian group featured Gail Carson, Rick Zerndt, and Jeff Lightfoot, and recorded two albums , 10 songs on "Take A Little Step", and 10 more songs on "Leap Of Faith", all Gail's original songs. It was also at this time the group created the Christmas Medley, a 15 minute contemporary twist of several Christmas songs, that was locally well received.

Gail learned to shoot video and edit, and produced 10 music video's, one for each song on Leap Of Faith,  shot and edited at the local Cable Station. The show had a good run in the local area on Cable Access TV. The Key of G did several cable television show interviews and shows talking about the Leap Of Faith videos and both albums

She also began working with a new Producer, Marshall Block, Studio musicians, Nick Marinelli, and Ed Young , from the state-of-the-art Real to Reel Studios, along with Rick and Jeff, on some of her new music.  It was around this time Country Gospel star W.C. Taylor, from  Circuit Rider Records, recorded her song, "Take Me As I Am" , as the Title Track on his new album, "Take Me As I Am" . He also recorded,  "Where Would I Be" on his, "He Is There"  album. It was also around this time that she composed, "The Real Reason For Christmas", which was performed by The Key Of G on Cable Access TV, and at various churches.

After a few years, the band parted ways, and she took a break from music and continued to raise her two children Cory, and Darik, with her husband Daryl. Her interests in photography, and also video production grew, and she started an event video business called, Five Star Video, using state of the art equipment at the time, one of the first to do non-linear editing. After more than 200 events covered, live band coverage, and commercial production, it was time for some new challenges.

Her family decided to move to Florida, and she left the video business behind.  Still an avid photographer, she continued to work with digital photography while also working as an Executive Assistant at several local businesses.

In 2002, she missed having music in her life, and put together a home studio. She learned studio production using new computer software. and she started writing songs. She sat in with a band called "One Sun Project", and "The Paradize Band"  with Carl Immeke, Gary L. Dove, and K.W. Fissell, doing vocals, guitar, violin, and mandolin, and she  sang with them at local establishments for a year, playing and singing mostly cover songs. It was this time period that she composed the piece "Christmas Soup". It is a Christmas contemporary instrumental medley, weaving 14 different Christmas themes together into a riddle, telling the Christmas Story from beginning to end.

In 2003 Gail joined the SSA,( www.ssa.cc). She recorded and produced 10 new original songs on the album  "Could This Be", writing and playing all the instruments, guitar, violin, mandolin, keyboards, in her home studio.

In  2004 she won Love Song Of The Year for the song "20 Years Of Love" through the Songwriters Showcases of America in Daytona Beach, Florida, and she also gave birth to her 3rd son, Bryan.

In 2007 she wrote and illustrated a children's book of 10 learning stories, for Bryan, called, "Dixie Doodles Storytime, 10 Big Adventures For Little Readers", which was published by Arvinder Singh at Sanbun Publishing, New Delhi, India.  (http://www.north-florida-family-fun-guide.com/dixie-doodles-storytime.html)

Her love of photography and video grew,  while adventuring around Florida with Bryan, and in 2009 Gail founded a website called, "North Florida Family Fun Guide" (www.northfloridafamilyfunguide.com), which showcases her love of photography, and video, while creating an online family fun magazine with more than 150 adventures to share with the world.

Gail is now working on a new Album!
