SSA Awards: Poetic and Profound song for 2003

Bio:  Helena Yates started playing music at the age of 4. She picked up the guitar at the ripe old age of 20. Her main influences are the Beatles, Bauhaus, Johnny Marr of the Smiths, and the many obscure punk rock bands she heard as a teenager. She has also been heavily influenced by Celtic music and the Latin American sounds of her father's homeland.
Helena is also a mother, writer, dancer and teacher of classical ballet at the European School of the Performing Arts. Her fondest dream is to encourage expression in all, and to bring all of the arts
